What we deal with isn’t just abstract philosophical ideas, it’s people. It’s about linking the question to the questioner. Connecting the head to the heart. So in order to speak to people in a loving and gracious manner we must get to know them and to let them know us so that they know why we say what we say.
So with that in mind, here is a little bit about me…
My name is Tim and I was raised as a Christian. Although I did spend some time away from the church when I was a bit younger I came back to the church in my early twenties and have been there ever since. I have investigated many different areas of science and philosophy and have never found a worldview, other than Christianity, which explains the full range of what we see and experience in our lives and in the universe.
I have been married to my wonderful wife, Sarah, for a little over 10 years. We have two (mostly) wonderful children: Josiah (5) and Rosalie (almost 4).
I am a Carpenter and Site Manager for a Construction Company where I live in Christchurch, New Zealand.
I’m not sure if there is too much more to tell about me. I’ve been passionate about Apologetics for most of my adult life and am really driven to learn and help others learn that what we believe as Christians is the truth as laid out in the Bible. That the Bible, as the infallible Word of God, gives us everything that we need for salvation through Jesus. Sometimes, however, people’s questions seem not to have a clear answer from the Bible and we need to work to understand how these questions can be answered in a way that glorifies God and shows the truth to be found in his gospel. So that is what I hope to help with in this blog… to help you and I as we contend for the gospel in a world which denies it’s validity.
